The Playful Camel carefully curates timeless and beautiful wooden toys that are both child and earth friendly.
We are a family-run business driven by our love for all things eco-friendly. As new parents, we felt it was only natural to introduce our little one to toys that were non-toxic and would stand the test of time. After much research locally, we found that most toys on offer were battery operated and made of plastic; this led us to discover the wonderful world of wooden toys!
Why wooden toys?
Our love for wooden toys doesn’t just stem from their eco-friendliness. We value them because of their open-ended nature, which helps children develop their skills and encourages them to use their imagination and creativity. Wooden toys also enable little ones to have a tangible connection to the natural world – which due to the global pandemic, is proving harder and harder to do.
As an environmentally conscious brand, you can rest assured we only curate toys from like-minded artisans and manufacturers who use non-toxic paint and sustainable FSC certified wood.
